May Day

Light flight through water, the massive rays are a delight to watch.  I am always amazed when they are so social in the touch tanks and seem to be reaching out of the water to be touched. 

Scientists are now studying the exterior surface cells of the ray for possible implications in recovery in burn patients.  There is something unique about the healing properties of the rays surface.  I hope no rays are harmed as an end result!
