Congrats to the Cubs!

So is this potion a bad elixir OR is the the juice of good luck......?  This time of year we assume the worst about words that have power, such as elixir, potion, spider, skull, raven, etc.........

.....in the spring of the year would these words have positive power?  The manipulation of power words is the name of the game in media right now.  One ups-man-ship in campaign jargon is weighing on the nerves and emotions of our nation.

We forget that words can be powerful triggers because they carry so much power.  I know many people who have made a commitment to turn off their media feed until at least November 9th.....research complete.....decisions made.........voting complete.....

The above and below images are another example of the use of vellum.  As with the previous examples, these are the same images, but the one above has been hand colored and placed on top of golden ravens filling the sky behind.  the image below is the white-ink relief print of the raven block on vellum paper, and resting on top of a black book page.  Still on the hunt for thinner vellum.......and....still fun to experiment!  

Word to the wise - don't drive through Chicago for a couple of days!!!
