Retro or Replica??

The "hippie" sandals of the mid to late 60's continue to be a mainstay in the footwear community.  What used to cost $12.99, however, can easily fetch more than $100.00 today.

"Right-on Man" sandals - Pencil, .8 black Micron pen, and Faber-Castille Indian ink on 300 series Strathmore mixed media paper.  Click on image to enlarge. 
 From outward appearances, the comparison of both eras of gear appear to be very similar, although the 60's sole had more of a recycled tire-tread look.
